Google Penguin 2.0 update was released earlier this week which Google released to target the websites that uses Black Hat SEO Methods to improve their search engine Rankings. With the release of Penguin 2.0 lots of webmasters are reporting decrease in their sites Ranking and traffic from yesterday.
Google Penguin 2.0 has specially hurt the traffic of big brands and games websites. Google has also introduced a form where people can report those websites which contains spam and are still not effected by this penguin update. this form can be reached here.
Every time when Google releases any update like Panda or Penguin lots of innocent websites also gets effected by these updates. this time as well we can expect some innocent sites to get hit by this update. Owners of such websites should keep patience because it will take sometime for traffic to comeback.
however one good thing about this update that i found is that Same site pages not appearing several times on one page when a keyword is searched on Google.
Message of Penguin is very clear that never try to build unnatural links to your website otherwise you will get hit badly. Unnatural Irrelevant backlinks or too many backlinks in a short period of time will raise the red flag and your site will be in trouble. Give more Importance to building good content and less importance to building backlinks.
