Google Panda Update Turns 2 Years Old

Google introduced the Google Panda Update two years ago from now that is a change to its Search Algorithm to give better Ranking to good quality sites and reduce the ranking of poor quality websites. Panda update was introduced by Google on 24th February 2011 for the first time. before arrival of Panda it was really easy to Rank high in Google search by trying different tactics. Lots spammers and low quality sites were also taking benefit of It. Watching this situation Google Introduced the Panda Algorithm and later on many other updates as well like Penguin, EMD and Manual action.
Now in February 2013 the Google Panda Update is celebrating its second birthday. in these two years Google introduced many Panda updates after every few weeks. By this update many websites seen a huge traffic drop while others seen increase in their traffic.

Some sites who were hit by the Panda were able to recover later on after making improvements. however the sites which contained duplicate or poor quality content continued to suffer from the Panda updates. their Search engine traffic got almost dead.

Mostly Big websites/blogs ran by big organizations like CNN, huffingtonpost got lot of benefit from the Panda update by getting Higher Rankings. Many Small sites and business was badly hit by Panda.



Websites such as ezineArticles, HubPages, Articlesbase continued to see loss in traffic due to Panda because of duplicate content.

During these two years along with Panda Google also introduced some new updates like Penguin and EMD for targeting sites using Black HAT SEO Methods.

in the coming years we can expect more Updates by Google because Google will try everything to keep the quality of Search results good. Internet has become really large as there are billions of Sites out there. Google will take every step to maintain search quality in presence of so many sites.
